Tammy said about writing this song, "I remember talking to Roy in a restaurant about how you can write a song modeled after a band that you liked and I just started singing this tune as an example. It was based on what I thought XTC might write. I liked it so much I had to hum it in my head until I could get home, write it down and figure out the chords. So if the chorus sounds a little like XTC, that is why."
